VENTURE TIMELINE

1945 Parr y starts the design, development and manufacturing of magnetic ballasts.

1950 PARMAR becomes an established trademark.

1960 Encapsulated canned ballasts were created.

1970 Open-framed impregnated ballasts were introduced.

1980 Parr y began designing and manufacturing ignitors.

1985 Venture Lighting became an established player in the USA , introducing uniform technology.

1995 The European range of Metal Halides are introduced, including White-Lux.

SMART CONTROLS

BLUETOOTH is evolving. Since the first consumer handset to feature a Bluetooth radio debuted in 2001, the specification has been regularly updated and is now in its fifth major iteration. While early Bluetooth devices were relatively slow and limited to a few metres range, the latest Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices can communicate over hundreds of metres at broadband speeds. With low hardware cost and near universal handset support, BLE-enabled luminaires have emerged as the perfect platform on which to build the next generation of smart building controls and analytics allowing automated control of lighting as below.

The Hyskeir Elite Highbay is specially designed using the highest quality components available to achieve excellent performance, even up to 65°C. HIGH TEMPERATURE APPLICATION Historically, attaining high- performance at these raised temperatures has been difficult with LED technology. However, the Hyskeir Elite Highbay achieves 50,000 hours rated life without any drop in performance. Unlike some existing technologies, the Hyskeir Elite maintains full lumen output up to 65°C. All Hyskeir Elite models are made to order, please contact your Project Sales Engineer.

TP(a) ( Thermal Protection ) ratings relate to thermoplastic diffusers. TP(a) diffusers must self-extinguish and any flaming and afterglow must not exceed five seconds once the source of flame is removed. This is to prevent the spread of fire. UGR (Unified Glare Rating ) is a value, commonly shown in steps of 3, that is used to calculate the level of glare in lighting applications. Glare, simplified, is the discomfort a user receives from lighting directly (field of vision) and indirectly (reflectances). UGR is a very elusive figure to estimate, as this is based on the application. Therefore UGR can only be calculated by doing lighting designs, values listed are to be used as a guide. The best way of reducing glare in lighting is to use a prismatic/reeded diffuser.
