Manufacturing and Supply Chain Control

As a trusted lighting manufacturer with nearly three decades of expertise (established in 1995), Kosnic has developed deep knowledge and control over its design, manufacturing processes, and supply chain. In recent years, we have made significant investments to enhance our facilities and adopt processes that reduce our environmental and social footprint. We have strengthened our Incoming Quality Control (IQC) procedures to ensure all components and third-party products comply fully with local environmental regulations, including EU RoHS and REACH directives. Additionally, we adhere to ISO 9001:2015 for quality and design management, ensuring that our products meet the highest international standards for consistency, reliability, and compliance. Emergency Solutions with Lithium Batteries Kosnic was among the first companies to introduce LED emergency conversion modules powered by lithium batteries. In 2021, we completely eliminated the use of environmentally harmful Ni-Cad batteries from our product range, demonstrating our commitment to reducing hazardous materials. Modular Luminaires – Minimizing Plastic and EEE Waste Our modular designs not only offer flexibility for users but also enable easier repairs and upgrades, significantly reducing waste. In 2011, we launched our first modular LED bulkhead, featuring our patented LED DD module and plug-in emergency module. As part of our sustainability initiatives, we are introducing 100% post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic into select products to further drive environmental responsibility. Higher Energy Efficiency As one of the earliest LED lighting manufacturers in the UK, Kosnic has continually pushed the boundaries of energy efficiency. A recent example is our Cirrus III LED High Bay, which delivers exceptional performance with an energy efficiency of up to 160 lm/W. Additionally, our Echo III Pro achieves ultra-high efficiency of up to 200 lm/W, reinforcing our commitment to providing energy-saving lighting solutions for commercial and industrial applications. Warranty Policy

Kosnic Lighting Ltd is pleased to provide the following warranty covering all Kosnic branded LED lighting products.

Standard Product Warranty: Kosnic Lighting Ltd warrants that all lighting products comply with their published specifications, are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and conditions for the respective periods of time set forth below. This excludes damages caused by misuse, accidents, natural disasters, extreme environmental conditions, improper storage and unauthorized modifications and/ or installation on a circuit without a surge protection device (SPD).

Kosnic Lighting offers up to 7 years warranty for batteries used in our emergency lighting products: 7 years for our 2 in 1 and DALI emergency packs and 5 years for UEM & UEM Pro devices. These warranties are valid when emergency lighting systems are commissioned and signed off by a certified electrician approved under relevant international and national standards, including: EN 50172 / BS 5266. If batteries fail to last the required 3 hours during an annual full operational test as per ISO 30061 (Emergency Lighting – Testing and Maintenance Guidelines) or equivalent national standards, Kosnic will replace the batteries.

Terms:

Should a Kosnic Lighting product fail within the warranty period from the invoice date, Kosnic Lighting will provide replacement products as an advanced replacement or a debit note, provided that all terms and conditions of the warranty have been adhered to. If the product is no longer available, Kosnic will provide the closest alternative product or the value of alternative product at its absolute discretion. If a close alternative product is not available, Kosnic will reimburse the warranty holder with the last price paid for the original product. By installing any of our products, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the installation instructions, confirm proper installation, and accept the terms and conditions of our warranty policy.

Kosnic Lighting offers a 3-year on-site warranty on the DD and K2D range of products (This warranty only applies when the lamps are installed with a Kosnic emergency module if applicable). Otherwise only the standard 2-year on-site warranty applies. This cannot be altered or disputed.

Client Liaison, site surveys and on-site commissioning To enable us to build a picture of the project, provide accurate replacement models and cost saving calculations, we require information such as the type of lamps currently being used, quantities involved, working areas and usage. Depending on the complexity and scale of the project, we will visit the premises to conduct a site survey. We are also happy to provide training and help setting up a selection of our sensors and controls on-site. Cost Of Ownership Calculations After conducting a site survey, we will prepare a detailed cost analysis to present to both you and the client. Our cost of ownership calculator highlights the key comparisons between existing lamps and the proposed Kosnic LED replacement, showing the overall annual spend reduction, kWh reduction, CO2 emission reduction and payback period. Whatever the size of the project, helping secure the clients approval is our aim. Lighting Schemes At Kosnic, our technical expertise and experience within the lighting industry allows us to develop lighting schemes that are as positive for people as they are sustainable for the environment and for business. The Project Team can create a lighting scheme for your clients using industry recognised RELUX software. Once the design criteria such as room dimensions, ceiling height and working area have been established, we can present a professional 3D design visual back to the client. This can even include elements such as work surfaces, tables, windows and chairs. Of course, if you already have an in-house lighting design team, we are happy to work alongside you and provide the necessary specification and photometric data required. Relux In 2015, Kosnic Lighting entered into a new partnership with Relux Informatik AG Switzerland, the international lighting planning software expert. As we all know, everything looks good under natural sunlight. It's because the natural sunlight emits the full colour spectrum in light, meaning it contains all the hues that our eyes can see. But artificial light sources, like incandescent, halogen, or LED lights, can't match the colour quality of sunlight. They only have some parts of the spectrum, and they can make things look dull or distorted.

In places like high-end retailers, supermarkets, and art galleries, it is extremely important to have good lights that can bring out the true colour of the items on display. Good lighting can enhance the quality, texture, and appearance of products, as well as influence the mood, perception, and behaviour of consumers. The Vomo range of retail luminaires is designed to fulfill such requirements. An AI algorithm was developed to detect and analyse the colour composition of the targeting object and fine-tune the light spectrum to bring out the true vibrant colour.
