PTC Diamond Crowns can be used at any speed up to approximately 1800 r.p.m. Ideally 1000 r.p.m gives you the perfect combination of rapid progress and adequate water cooling

A slight ‘rocking’ motion is advisable when using PTC diamond. This improves water flow to the cutting edge. It also makes the ‘slug’ of tile smaller than the bore of the cutter which facilitates slug removal

Water cooling is required when drilling porcelain tiles. See page 101 for water delivery systems and adaptors

Large diameter designs are tested to over 500 holes without failure in grade 5 porcelain tiles

No impact / percussion should be used

When used with relevant adaptor and 3 Jaw Chuck, no impact
