THE SOURCE OF ALL LIGHT.

THE RIGHT LAMP FOR ANY LIGHTING SOLUTION.

The right lighting effect is the result of perfect interaction between the luminaire and the lamp. As well as the design, energy efficiency is also an important criterion. Many alternatives to the classic light bulb have gained a foothold on the market in recent years. This means that the right lighting element is available for every kind of application or luminaire.

LAMPS

GENERAL INFORMATION.

• Operating in open luminaires without protection glass is only permitted with low-pressure lamps. Lamps with this symbol (IEC 357 standard) are suitable for use in luminaires without protection glass. • Halogen lamps and metal halide discharge lamps (HID) can cause the lamp housing to heat up. The latter may therefore only be touched when they have cooled down. Adjustable luminaires or lamp heads which do not have an adjusting handle fitted or which are used with lamps at the maximum wattage meaning that the maximum housing temperature per- mitted is exceeded on the obvious adjustment point, must be installed out of hands’ reach. You can find corresponding solutions in this chapter. • Low-voltage lamps can be operated using suitable LED retrofit lamps in many cases. However, not every combination of luminaires with apparently suitable lamps is possible due to the conflicting individual cases, where there are transformer and LED technology- specific issues. If you have any questions about compatibility, visit slv.com or contact our sales department.

• The dimensions specified for the lamps always refer to the complete exterior dimensions of a lamp. This means that the threaded base is included.

• All bulbs must be disposed of separately and do not belong in the household waste.
