The ratio of luminance of the white colour to the green colour must be EHWZHHQ DQG 7KH PLQLPXP OXPLQDQFH RI DQ\ PP SDWFK DUHD RQ WKH VLJQ PXVW EH JUHDWHU WKDQ 2cd/m² and the ratio of maximum to minimum luminance shall be less than 10:1 for either colour.

Min luminance = 2cd/m²

Ratio of luminance shall be less than 10:1 for either colour

Other areas to consider:

• Kitchens • First Aid & Treatment Rooms • Refuge areas for disabled people

• Fire Equipment • Covered Car Parks • Panic Bars and Pads

Contrast of the colours must be between 5:1 and 15:1
