The Ovia Lighting calculator is designed to assist with the estimation of the total number of lights required to light a space. The estimation is based on industry standard lighting levels recommendations and assumes the spaces have typical surface reflectance’s for the given application. Ovia Lighting will not take responsibility for results on site that differ from the calculator. If in doubt please speak to a Ovia trained lighting design engineer.

To use the calculator, simply input basic information such as the dimensions of the area to be lit (length, width, height) and select the luminaire. The tool comes with default settings for certain factors like lux level, reflectance, and maintenance factors, however, you can modify these settings if needed. The calculations are based on industry-standard lighting level recommendations. After completing the design, you have the option to either download the layout or email the results to yourself.
