Technical Information

IP protection classes according to EN 60529 The ingress protection (IP) code denotes the protection against contact and infiltration of water and dirt. In many environments electronic devices must be able to stand rough conditions and work during their intended period of time, even though they are exposed to dirt, dust and humidity. IP protection classes define, how and where they can be used without becoming a safety risk.

DIM TO WARM 1900K-2800K

DIM TO COOL 3000K-6000K

Extra heat test performed by Intertek Semko The downlights marked with the text 'Extra heat test performed by Intertek Semko', are all approved for mounting directly in insula- tion material. In the sketch, which applies for MD-991, you can see how the test has been performed. The specific information for the downlights can be found in each product manual, available at www.malmbergs.com. Dim to Warm When you dim the light, both the lu- men output and the colour tempera- ture changes. The more you dim, the warmer the light. This makes the light resemble halogen light. Dim to Cool The colour temperature can be adjusted variably from warm white to cold white. You can also dim the lumen output (without it affecting the colour temperature).

For recessed mounting in ceiling. The luminaire is approved for mounting on normally flammable surfaces and directly in insulation material.
