Initially the company was founded to provide OEM solutions to brands such as Siemens and in 2012 moved to launch Lightwave as a Smart home brand. Lightwave is at the forefront of IOT development with devices initially being supplied through the major retail multiples and consumer electronics stores. The brand is currently providing connected solutions throughout the Electrical Wholesale channel within the U.K.

Each model can be mounted individually with two sizes of frames available or as part of a multi gang pattress.

The power outlet sockets are available with either a Type F (Schuko) or Type E versions used in most Central European territories.

Smart switch relays

Lightwave also offer a range of relays which can be used in a variety of applications to switch anything from access control, door closures, curtains and blinds. All smart relays can be controlled by any of the Lightwave family of devices, wire free switches, sensors or automated through the app, allowing for timers, schedules or complex automations to switch a device or group of devices.

Sense Input relay allows you to trigger 8dumb9 devices such as non- smart switches, PIR9s and access control points, such as doors.

3 Channel relay allows for switching load of up to 3.7kW Meaning almost all domestic requirements can be controlled, energy monitoring is also included.

Heating Solutions

Resideo have been at the forefront of heating control development, and we are proud collaborate in bringing this energy control expertise within the Lightwave eco system. The heating range offers control of domestic boilers and water heaters both cylinder or stand-alone systems together with water based radiators or electric panel heaters. Underfloor heating can also be accommodated. Zoned heating control of both wet and dry heating systems which feature throughout commercial and residential properties offer one of the largest opportunity to save energy costs.

Dashboard Portal

Lightwave offer a complete overview of your building energy usage through its unique Dashboard Portal.

The portal allows a breakdown by device level of its energy costs, carbon emission and details of switching history. Devices can be grouped into usage type, T.V. monitors, refrigeration, hot water etc& to give invaluable insights into a business's operation and efficiency. These groups can also be controlled on timer schedules or switched as a group for an event mode at any given moment.

Reporting data can be exported into a variety of formats to suite most software suites.

There is an option for a management arrangement where we can operate and support your buildings daily running requirements liaising with a sustainability or facilities manager to help maximise your energy savings.

Refrigeration Control

Non-food chillers, such as drinks dispensers and bottle fridges are a prime example of how, within the hospitality sector Lightwave can vastly improve the operational running of such appliances by controlling the on time for cooling, allowing maximum efficiency of energy usage. In most cases, this type of refrigeration does not require bottled soft drinks or alcohol to be below @* degrees during the hours of midnight to midday. Lightwave implement an automation program that switches a fridge off 3 hours within every 4 hours, allowing the appliance to retain a low temperature that cools within the required parameters. As Lightwave monitor the compressor, the appliance is only switched off during the down cycle of the normal running, ensuring no stress is put on its internal components.

This automation provides a less running time for the motor and hence gives longevity to the appliance's normal lifespan.

Additionally, abnormal operational compressor running can be flagged up with maintenance by text or email reporting of potential failure before it happens.

The London Stadium hosts around 35 events per year and faced significant energy wastage due to devices being left on during non-event periods. Lightwave addressed this challenge by outfitting stadium kiosks, bars, hospitality areas and various event spaces with advanced smart technology. Devices including TVs, beer dispensers, fridges, glass chillers, and beer coolers, were retrofitted with Lightwave devices using existing wiring. This ensured minimal disruption to the stadium's daily operations. The smart technology give full remote access control, energy measurement and optimises energy use during stadium downtime, drastically reducing unnecessary power consumption and aligning with the stadium's net zero goals. Lower Essex Street, Birmingham, B5 Set to comprise 627 Built-to-Rent apartments across three buildings, Lower Essex Street is a new residential development by The Galliard Apsley Partnership. In addition, the site is set to present circa 20,000 sq. ft. of commercial space as well as residents' amenities, including a clubhouse, roof garden and courtyards. As part of the residents connected home experience, Lightwave are providing full Smart Lighting control throughout the site, allowing clients to utilise Apple Home Kit and other platforms giving a fully interactive experience that can be customised for each user and returned to a default setting for the next occupier.

Lightwave have installed over 147 power sockets throughout the complex at AMRC9s site in Preston, Lancashire, helping not only monitor and control small power across the estate as part of their Net Zero commitments, but also to help gain valuable insights into manufacturing techniques through analysis of power data when applied to PCB developments. The AMRC site shows a variety of applications for deployment of small power control within their office space, restaurant and manufacturing facility.

In cooperation with quality British homebuilding company Berkeley, energy provider E.ON is of ering new energy saving smart technology integrated into new homes. At the üagship Kidbrooke village development in outh ast London, Lightwave has been selected to provide much of this smart technology including smart dimmers and sockets. There are plans to extend the scheme to sites across the UK and Europe. Using Lightwave devices, homeowners can create mood lighting, set timer schedules and control lights while they’r e away. Smart power sockets mean appliances can also be controlled remotely. Smartphone location data is used to control heating as residents approach and leave their home; temperatures can be adjusted from anywhere using the smart scheduling app, while smart radiator thermostats mean each room can programmed independently. With the addition of Apple Home od and Amazon Alexa, every ightwave device can also be voice controlled. The UK based expertise and üexibility of Lightwave, as well as the adapt ability of the technology, has allowed it to be conûgured for E.ON Home, a digital dashboard which lets customers see and manage their energy use across diferent smart technologies from one place.
