Sustainable Product Development

Sustainable Resources

• We’re using high density die-cast aluminium, durable synthetics glass, paper and carton as main materials in our LUTEC luminaires. • These materials can be recycled in a convenient and economic way. This in existing recycle centres all over the served markets.

Zero-Plastic Packaging

• LUTEC has started the complete ban of plastic bags in their consumer packaging as from mid 2021. This means that for all new luminaires put on the markets in 2022, we use only carton and paper. • By the end of 2022, 60% of all unit-boxes shipped out from our factory will be plastic bags free.

• Focus on development of e‹cient and smart Solar luminaires • High light output in relation with required autonomy • Last year, more than 400 thousand homes were equipped with a new LUTEC Solar light.

Responsible Production & Operations

• On the roofs of UTEC Ningbo production facilities in China we’ve installed recently high e‹ciency solar panels. • This with a total solar panel surface of 6000m“ resulting in a green energy capacity of 48.630kWh saving 30% of our annual energy consumption.
