Over the last few decades, the exploitation of our planet and degradation of our environment has risen at an alarming rate. It is now more urgent than ever for every one of us to take necessary actions to protect our planet and our children’s future.

At Kosnic, we are playing our part though our innovations and enhancements in product design, manufacturing and services.

Manufacturing and supply chain control As a long-established lighting manufacturer (since 1995), Kosnic has in-depth knowledge and control over our design and manufacturing processes as well as our supply chain of components. In recent years, we’ve made great efforts and investments to enhance our manufacturing facilities and processes to minimise our environmental and social impact. We have also strengthened our IQC process to ensure all our components and third-party products are fully compliant with local environment legislations EU ROHS/REACH directives.

Eco design and innovations

Emergency solution with lithium batteries Kosnic is one of the earliest companies to produce LED emergency conversion modules with Lithium batteries. In 2021, Kosnic has completely removed environmentally harmful Ni-Cad batteries from our product ranges. Modular luminaires - Minimising plastic and EEE waste Modular design does not just provide the user with flexibility, but also allows easier repairs and upgrades with minimum waste. In 2011 Kosnic launched their first modular LED bulkhead, to include our patented LED DD module and plug-in emergency module.

Warranty Policy Kosnic Lighting Ltd is pleased to provide the following warranty covering all Kosnic branded LED lighting products.

Standard Product Warranty:

Kosnic Lighting Ltd warrants that all LED lighting products comply with their published specifications and are free from defects in materials and workmanship for the respective periods of time set forth below.

3, 4, 5 or 7 Year Product Warranty

Selected Kosnic Lighting products are warranted for either 3, 4, 5 or 7 years, such products are marked with the following labels in the Evolve catalogue.

Terms:

Should a Kosnic Lighting product fail within the warranty period from the invoice date, Kosnic Lighting will provide replacement products free of charge. If the product is no longer available, Kosnic will provide the closest alternative product or the value of alternative product at its absolute discretion. If a close alternative product is not available, Kosnic will reimburse the warranty holder with the last price paid for the original product.

On-site Warranty:

Kosnic Lighting offers 2-year on-site warranty on selected luminaire products, including emergency lighting products marked with the following label in the Evolve Catalogue:

Kosnic Lighting offers a 3 year on-site warranty on the DD and K2D range of products (This warranty only applies when the lamps are installed with a Kosnic emergency module if applicable). Otherwise only the standard 2 year on-site warranty applies.

Project On-Site Warranty For lighting projects that are designed and specified by the Kosnic Lighting project team, provided the specification is not changed, a 1 year extended on-site warranty can be issued (excluding, DD and K2D products). This must be authorised by your Area Project Manager prior to the installation.

Terms:

If a product fails within its on-site warranty period, the warranty holder must contact Kosnic Lighting in writing and will be required to complete a ‘Warranty Claim Form’.

The estimated cost for repairing and product replacement (excluding cost of travelling and accommodation) must be provided. If the proposed cost is considered fair and reasonable, Kosnic Lighting will authorise the work and reimburse costs accordingly.

If the estimated cost is deemed excessive, Kosnic Lighting will carry out the work with our own qualified engineers.

The on-site warranty will be void if the repairing and/or replacement of the faulty products starts prior to obtaining written authorisation from Kosnic Lighting.

An authorised representative from Kosnic Lighting must be allowed to have access to the faulty goods and installation site, before, during and after the work being carried out.

The following applies to both Product and On-Sites warranties:

The obligation to replace any product under the terms of the warranties set out above, shall only apply where it has been used for its intended or ordinary purpose and provided always that the following conditions have been met: • The warrant period commences on the date on invoice to the contractor/end user. If proof of invoice cannot be provided, then the manufacturing date determined from the batch code on the product will be used.

• Kosnic Lighting products must be installed correctly, in accordance with the product information detailed on our packaging, instruction sheets, product data sheets and best industry practice.

• All products repaired or replaced under the Kosnic Lighting warranty, will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty terms and period.

• Kosnic Lighting hold no responsibility for ‘mis-match’ of products when replacing discontinued product(s) under warranty.

• Kosnic Lighting products under this warranty should not be operated over 5000 hours per year on average within the warranty period.

• This warranty voids if the products are not installed in circuit that is protected by adequate and functioning SPD (Surge Protection Device)

• Kosnic Lighting Ltd cannot be held responsible for incompatibility of any lamp or luminaire with other manufacturers’ trans-formers, drivers, dimmers or control gear. A guide to compatibility where necessary is published on the Kosnic web site and is available on demand. Technical advice is always available upon request.

The acceptance of any claim under any warranty listed above is further subject to our warranty terms and conditions that can be found at our Evolve catalogue or website.

Warehouse Our warehouse has trebled in capacity over recent years to 35,000 square feet. This allows us to ensure that most deliveries can be despatched on the same day that the order is placed.

We also reuse and recycle packaging wherever possible, to ensure nothing is wasted.

Since 2015 our showroom facility has been demonstrating the latest in Kosnic LED technology. The sleek design shows off fully working products to highlight every feature. Project & Specification At Kosnic, the design, development and manufacture of low energy LED solutions is our business. So is helping our customers think about their lighting and how it can help combat ever increasing energy prices, reduce energy consumption and lower carbon emissions. Lighting will typically account for around 25% to 40% of a buildings energy usage, Kosnic LED lighting can dramatically reduce this, using between 50% and 90% less energy than traditional lamp types such as halogen, fluorescent or filament. What We Do Services available to you include: • Client liaison, site surveys and on-site commissioning • Cost of ownership calculations • Lighting design schemes • Technical support • Sales tools and product selection advice Working closely with our Wholesale and Distribution partners, our aim is to help you build a compelling business case to persuade customers of the benefits of switching to a Kosnic LED solution.

Client Liaison, site surveys and on-site commissioning To enable us to build a picture of the project, provide accurate replacement models and cost saving calculations, we require information such as the type of lamps currently being used, quantities involved, working areas and usage. Depending on the complexity and scale of the project, we will visit the premises to conduct a site survey. We are also happy to provide training and help setting up a selection of our sensors and controls on-site. Cost Of Ownership Calculations After conducting a site survey, we will prepare a detailed cost analysis to present to both you and the client. Our cost of ownership calculator highlights the key comparisons between existing lamps and the proposed Kosnic LED replacement, showing the overall annual spend reduction, kWh reduction, CO2 emission reduction and payback period. Whatever the size of the project, helping secure the clients approval is our aim. Lighting Schemes At Kosnic, our technical expertise and experience within the lighting industry allows us to develop lighting schemes that are as positive for people as they are sustainable for the environment and for business. The Project Team can create a lighting scheme for your clients using industry recognised RELUX software. Once the design criteria such as room dimensions, ceiling height and working area have been established, we can present a professional 3D design visual back to the client. This can even include elements such as work surfaces, tables, windows and chairs. Of course, if you already have an in-house lighting design team, we are happy to work alongside you and provide the necessary specification and photometric data required. Relux In 2015, Kosnic Lighting entered into a new partnership with Relux Informatik AG Switzerland, the international lighting planning software expert. As we all know, everything looks good under natural sunlight. It's because the natural sunlight emits the full colour spectrum in light, meaning it contains all the hues that our eyes can see. But artificial light sources, like incandescent, halogen, or LED lights, can't match the colour quality of sunlight. They only have some parts of the spectrum, and they can make things look dull or distorted.

In places like high-end retailers, supermarkets, and art galleries, it is extremely important to have good lights that can bring out the true colour of the items on display. Good lighting can enhance the quality, texture, and appearance of products, as well as influence the mood, perception, and behaviour of consumers. The Vomo range of retail luminaire are designed to fullfill such requirement. An AI algorithm was developed to detect and analyse the colour composition of the targeting object and fine-tune the light spectrum to bring out the true vibrant colour.

1. Setting "Stand-by Period" (A5,A6) to + ∞ . 2. Setting "Stand-by Dim Level" to 100% so the light will not be dimmed or turned off during the night.

Corridor function

Corridor function can be configured by:

1. Setting "Stand-by Period" (A5,A6) to 1Min,10 min or + ∞ . This is the period after absence detection before turning off the lights. 2. Setting "Stand-by Dim Level" to10% 20% or 50% . This is light level when absence is detected.

Settings for the ON/OFF model

Additional settings for the dimmer model

A5-A6 stand by period: time period when the light remains at dimmed level in the absence of motion detection.

A1-A2 Hold time : the time delay for the lights staying on after movement being detected. A3-A4 Daylight Threshold: the sensor is activated when daylight is lower than the threshold.

Type C charging port

A7-A8 Stand-by Dim Level: dimmed light level required in the absence of motion detection.

Manage the settings of the sensors around the building Each of the remote can be marked with information of the corresponding sensor or other products being controlled

The user can simply check the configuration for the sensor/products by looking at the DIP switches in the remote control. Once the sensors/products are configured, the remote control can be stored away for future use.
