COLOUR TEMPERATURE GUIDE

LEDS make it possible to have a choice of white colours or ‘tones’. This allows easy customisation of an area to bring out the best in the materials and design of a room. With standard white LED lighting, these tones range from warm-yellow, to daylight-blue light, with options in between. The graphic below is a reference that starts at a warm yellow colour on the left and fades into a blue colour on the right.

Colour temperature ratings describe the tones of white light available. Colour temperature options range from 2000-3000K for Warm White lighting, 3100-4500 for Cool White lighting and 4600-6500 for Daylight White lighting. It can be a tricky decision to know what is best for your installation, but our skilled technical sales team are on hand to guide you through choosing the perfect colour temperature for your room.

Perfect for industrial, security, garages and task lighting where the most natural lighting is required

Cool white is a good choice for retail and office environments where a simulated natural, outdoor light is preferred. Use in contemporary kitchens and bathrooms to complement décor

Warmer whites are generally preferred for creating a more relaxed environment in dining, living or reception areas
