Self-test is when the product has built in technology which facilitates an automation of testing regimes. These settings can be configured to make sure that tests happen in line with the requirements. Each self-test product has an LED indicator that demonstrates the status of the specific product. The indicator will change depending on whether a product is functioning well, or has failed. For example, the emergency high bay is available in self-test, meaning once the user has configurated the settings, the test will take place itself according to the configurations. LiFeP04 are at the forefront of battery technology, with a smaller footprint then other battery types. There is a long-life span, and can last up to ten times longer than traditional battery types The battery recharge rate is quicker than traditional types too, due to the chemical composition of the battery, resulting in lower resistance values. The efficiency of these batteries extends into performance; charge and discharge, which can reach over 90%, which means very little energy is wasted.
