Underwater lighting

Textured surfaces vs. flat surfaces

When choosing a light fitting, it is imperative to consider the surface that the light will be used on. At this stage, it is a great opportunity to bring the materials to life and compliment the landscape design.

IP68 rated lights are completely air tight and can be used underwater. Patented technology, unique to Collingwood, prevents water ingress from the back of the light, where the cable enters the product.

Textured surface

Flat surfaces

Use a spot, close to the surface, to graze light over the surface, highlighting the texture and adding depth to the surface.

Use a flood to wash light over the surface, highlighting the clean nature of the surface/ design.

When designing a pond area, ensure that you are using IP68 rated products.
