Colour Rendering Index (CRI) A measure of the ability of a light source to reproduce the colours of various objects. A minimum CRI of 80 is recommended for most general domestic and commercial applications, but CRI90+ can be bene fi cial for some environments, e.g. retail. Lumen Depreciation (L70) Lumen depreciation values re fl ect the overall performance of a light source through its life. Although still operational, all fi xtures will experience a level of lumen loss/depreciation. A fi xture’s L70 value states after how many hours in operation will the fi xture still be producing 70% of its original lumen output. For example, a fi xture that produces 1,000 lumens with a L70 50,000 hours means that after 50,000 hours operation, the lumen output will have dropped to around 700. IK ratings are de fi ned as IKXX, where “XX” is a number from 00 to 10 indicating the degrees of protection provided by a luminaire against external impacts. The IK rating scale identi fi es the ability of an enclosure to resist impact energy levels measured in joules (J) IK Rating
